Moodlith is designed with your privacy at its core. All your data is stored locally on your device by default — we do not collect, transmit, or share your personal information with external servers or third-party analytics services.
Mood entries (ratings, emoji, timestamps, notes, tags) stored locally via SwiftData. Optional health metrics (sleep, steps, HRV) if you connect Apple Health. Optional weather data via WeatherKit, used only in real time and not stored. App preferences stored via UserDefaults. Basic usage analytics stay local only.
Your data is used exclusively within the app for mood tracking, visualizations, personalized insights, pattern detection, import/export, widgets, and reminders. All processing happens on your device.
Moodlith can use Apple's on-device AI for enhanced insights. When enabled, processing happens entirely on your device — no data is sent to external servers.
Mood entries are stored via SwiftData in your secure file system; settings via encrypted UserDefaults. HealthKit data remains in Apple Health. Widget data is shared locally via App Groups and never leaves your device.
Moodlith integrates with Apple HealthKit, WeatherKit, Apple Intelligence, Notifications, and WidgetKit — each optional and subject to Apple's own privacy practices. No third-party analytics or advertising networks are used.
You can disable HealthKit, weather tracking, Apple Intelligence, or notifications anytime. You can delete individual entries, enable auto-delete, or export your data in PDF, CSV, or JSON formats.
Data is retained indefinitely by default unless you enable auto-delete or manually remove it. Uninstalling the app deletes all local data.
Location is only accessed when weather tracking is enabled, used in real time to fetch conditions, and never stored — your coordinates are not retained.
Moodlith is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
